The coaches at MHDC spend a great deal of time choosing the meet schedule each year and deciding what is in the best interest of the entire team. As a member of the Mile High Dive Club, athletes are only eligible to attend United States Diving, AAU and FINA meets that the Mile High Dive Club is attending. There are some occasions where MHDC will choose not to attend a specific meet. If a family or athlete chooses to attend a meet that MHDC is not attending without the explicit permission of MHDC, they will be in effect terminating their relationship with MHDC and will have no need to return to practice after that meet.
Similarly, there are some occasions where an athlete may qualify for a meet by achieving a certain place but is not truly ready by DD or score to compete in the next level meet. Athlete’s attendance at these meets is at the discretion of the Mile High Dive Club Coaches.
By participating in any training or team travel, all athletes and parents agree to abide by all MHDC policies, including those listed below.
- Registration and fees for any meet are the responsibility of the individual athlete
- Register online at the Mile High Dive Club website www.learntodive.org, typically on the "Calendar" section.
- Register with the meet director before the entry deadline through one of the following methods. The method of registration varies by meet director.
- Register, enter dive lists and pay entry fees online, most commonly at www.divemeets.com
- Mail registration forms, dive sheets and entry fees to the meet director.
- Payment for meet expenses is due within five days of the meet breakdown being posted on the website. All late payments will be assessed a $50 late fee plus interest charges of 18.49% per annum. Meet fees include an 8% service fee.
- Meet Coaching fees are assessed at the following rates:
- One day invitational meets: $40
- Two day meets and Regionals: $75
- Three day/Synchro Nationals meets: $100
- Zones $140
- USA Diving Summer Nationals, USA Diving Senior Nationals: $150
